are getting very loud, and starting to get on my nerves.
Unfortunately, today was not a day for wandering around in the park, but a day where I needed to stay inside and get some real work done on the computer. To help me out, some bird stayed outside, in the same spot, all day long, and sang for me. He chose to sing the same song for the entirety of the day. This song he chose consisted of only two notes, his favorite notes of the highest pitch, and never, ever, varied. It went something like this:
PEEP peep PEEP peep PEEP peep PEEP peep PEEP peep PEEP peep
All day long. And when did this bird decide to stop with his beautiful song? The very moment I wanted him to keep singing it, of course. In the late afternoon I finally went out to make a recording of him to give you, dear reader of my blog, a taste of how annoying he is. As soon as I stood on the balcony, shivering in my slippers, and pushed the ‘record’ button, he decided it was time to stop. Time to stop for the whole afternoon. He didn’t even do me the favor of flying away when he stopped so that I could see who he is. He just stopped. So that was enough of birds for the day. I think he was a Kohlmeise, but I’m not sure.
Because I didn’t get any pictures today, I give you a picture from yesterday of a guilty looking hooded crow with snow on his beak. He was doing something with that stick.
